Liberalism is a community

Liberalism is a community.

What makes this a community? We do not regard being liberal as an insult, it is the truth. We bond together over mutual political interests such as universal health care, equal rights for all, and holding politicians accountable when we feel an injustice has been committed, such as the recent passage of the law in Arizona, legalizing the possible "profiling" of potential illegal immigrants.

What holds Liberals together? The constant drive to keep all elected officials in check. The need to take care of our fellow Americans, all of them (Universal Health Care).

What tensions can tear us apart? Really, there seems to be varying degrees of Liberalism, which can cause some internal fighting. We don't like to feel betrayed be those we elect to serve us. Is there any such thing as "too liberal"? Thats a question that is often debated amongst Liberals. I have yet to find the answer.
